Turn Your Generosity Up to Eleven

RSVP TO THE FUNDRAISER: HELLO@SPINALCRAP.COM

This whole site is under construction! Links are wonky, but so is my brain!

What better way to occupy an uneasy mind than to update my WordPress skills. So in the mean time, lets write a quick FAQ…

  • I am fundraising for my tethered cord surgery. Its a birth defect that I have long struggled with. Updating my home for handicapped accessibility is expensive, medical expenses are huge, and I will be out of work at least 3 months
  • What is tethered cord? Well, the bundle of nerves inside your spine are in sort of a pouch. And that pouch normally has a bungee cord type attatchment to the lower spine. When I developed from a lit tadpole human to a fetus, something went wonky and I ended up with more of a steel cord instead of a bungee.
  • Why now? Turns out that mind over matter, matters! Ive had a lifetime of health problems and have midigated them with grit and good posture. But aging being what it is, plus advances in science, I have the opportunity for a better life.
  • Is there a way to support without coming to the fundraiser? Absolutely! Please click here: https://www.supportnow.org/lulu-locks-and-kathy-gearon These funds are will help us in so very many ways.
  • Is there really merch? Yes indeed! I love a stupid gag, and some folks like a prize for giving. I learned this from PBS. We have 2 kinds of t-shirts, a hat, a pen, and keychains that will launch at the party and be online after Nov 7.
  • I prefer to send gifts… There is a wish list somwhere in that SupportNow link.
  • I’m local, can I help physically? The short answer is maybe? I’m working on ways to help but if you have an idea, please email me. Nothing I need help with is glamorous….its like moving furniture to set up my recovery room, yard work, maybe errands. We have a lot of allergies in this house, so if you’re thinking meals, please ask.
  • I saw you went to a thing, aren’t you sick or something? Yes, yes I am. But I am not dead. Some days my symptoms are terrible and I don’t leave my house. Other days I feel steady on my feet. I have many generous friends and love to leave my house once in a while. Everyone deserves a slice of happiness and I am VERY GOOD at making simple/free things appear luxurious in photos. I have a razor wit, a warm heart, and love to people watch. Meet me sometime and you’ll see what I mean.
  • What is in the silent auction? Well, a couple of super precious one of a kind things may go on eBay, like signed music posters. I’ll link them soon. But, here’s the beginning of what to expect at Siren on 11/7:
